The Panafrican Art Association (PAA) is a not-for-profit association whose headquarters are located in Geneva. Founded in 1991 by members of the African diaspora in Switzerland under the leadership of Dr. Martin Sigam, the PAA strives to promote and showcase African arts and cultures, as well as the peoples from which they originate. It aims to:
- contribute to the preservation and promotion of Africa's cultural heritage,
- work towards the transfer of this heritage to future generations, and
- showcase the art works of various peoples of sub-Saharan Africa.
The PAA is the proud recipient of the Mérite Aérien Culturel 2016 (Aire-la-Ville) for its African art exhibitions project entitled The Sankofa Trilogy. For more information, click here.
